From Go Vols Xtra

"Butch Jones had spent no more than a minute at the podium of the main media room Wednesday at SEC Media Days when he dropped his favorite slogan and 2013 theme.Brick by brick.Jones has nothing if not a consistent message, and even if most Tennessee fans have heard it dozens of times during the past eight months, it was at least somewhat new to the hundreds of media in attendance this week at the Hyatt Regency-Wynfrey Hotel in suburban Birmingham."

From  The Tennessean

"South Carolina defensive end Jadeveon Clowneysaid there were two players in the country who could block him last season.“The guy from Michigan was pretty good,” he said. “And the guy from Tennessee was pretty good.”“The guy from Tennessee” is tackle Antonio “Tiny” Richardson, who is anything but. The 6-foot-6, 327-pound Richardson held Clowney in check for much of the Volunteers’ 38-35 loss to South Carolina, save for one game-changing play. With Tennessee down by three and in the red zone, Clowney blew by Richardson and sacked Tyler Bray, forcing a fumble and ending the Volunteers’ best chance to win the game in the fourth quarter."

From STL Today

"The award for the most intense coach through two days of interviews goes to Tennessee’s ButchJones, who barely took a breath during a 911-word briefing with print reporters on the rebuilding Volunteers."

From ESPN

"Tennessee coach Holly Warlick says she recently approached Connecticut about the possibility of playing each other again. That doesn’t mean the two women’s college basketball powers will renew their rivalry right away.Warlick said she mentioned the idea to Connecticut coach Geno Auriemma last month during the Women’s Basketball Hall of Fame induction weekend, but she added the talks haven’t progressed since then.“I don’t think it’s going to work out,” Warlick told The Associated Press in a wide-ranging interview Monday. “I don’t know. I’ve put it out there. We haven’t discussed it since.”"
