Typically rookie quarterbacks don’t draw positive reviews during training camp.
Almost never do undrafted free agent rookie quarterbacks receive positive reviews, but that is what’s happening for Tyler Bray right now with the Kansas City Chiefs.
The rookie out of Tennessee went undrafted due to “personality issues”, despite his strong throwing arm.
So far Bray is making the Chiefs happy that they’re the team that picked him up short after the NFL draft concluded.
Check out some of the big time praise from Kansas City based beat writers.
Tyler Bray was the star of practice today, IMO. Every throw was on the money, including a deel pass down the sideline and a fade route.

Obviously Alex Smith’s status as the starting quarterback of the Chiefs isn’t in doubt, but Tyler Bray’s performance so far could make things interesting if Smith falters.
It’s only practice, but if you’re a Chiefs fan, or just want to see the former Vol do well, you have to be very encouraged by Bray’s performance.
