The Vols kick off against Austin Peay in just ten days and the question still lingers — who will be the Vols’ starting quarterback?
Six days from now we will finally have a definitive answer.
This morning, on the Erik Ainge Show, Butch Jones said that they will name a quarterback on “Monday or Tuesday”.
The quarterback battle is considered a four-way race between junior Justin Worley, redshirt freshman Nathan Peterman and true freshmen Riley Ferguson and Joshua Dobbs.
Jones says the race is close and he’s seen attributes he likes in all four the guys battling.
This morning we released our “Week One Projected Starters” for the Vols, which has Nathan Peterman listed as the starter.
On February 8 I predicted that Nathan Peterman would win the starting job. Obviously I still stand by that prediction, but this race is close.
At this point it could be any of the four guys mentioned.
Fortunately for fans, that answer is just a few days away.
