Steve Spurrier typically provides the most entertainment, outside of Les Miles, of all all the SEC coaches.

He rarely misses an opportunity to take a jab at a team or even sportswriters….as he did on Wednesday when responding to a question about how much time he puts into the coaches poll.

"Spurrier: Oh about, I don’t know … How much time do sportswriters put into their poll?”"

Quips like that are what makes you take Spurrier serious when he compliments anything.

Which is exactly what he did when talking about the Vols on Wednesday.

"Spurrier: Tennessee seems to be one of the most improved teams, with the way they played against Georgia. They have some fire, momentum."

Spurrier is right, the Vols are definitely improving and they definitely have some momentum after their performance against Georgia, even though they lost.

The important thing will be: Can Butch Jones and the Vols keep the momentum going after the bye week?

It’s impossible to know the answer to that question until the Volunteers hit the field this Saturday.
