The Tennessee Volunteers are looking to beat a ranked team for the first time since October 31, 2009 when they knocked off a ranked South Carolina team.
The Vols nearly beat Georgia last week, losing in overtime.
Tennessee looked like a much improved team against Georgia, finally getting some consistent play from their wide receivers and quarterback Justin Worley.
Worley will have to continue to be a playmaker, and not a game manager, if Tennessee plans on upsetting Steve Spurrier and the Gamecocks.
Butch Jones is far from needing a signature win, he’s still playing catch-up, but it would certainly remove some pressure from Jones and his staff if they can get that big win out of the way on Saturday.
