One of the biggest plays in the Vols’ victory over Tennessee was Rajion Neals’ improbable fumble turned incomplete pass late in the first half.
Neal got crushed by mythical defensive end Jadeveon Clowney and appeared to fumble the ball.
The fumble would’ve gave South Carolina the ball back in field goal territory after the Gamecocks had just missed a field goal.
The decision by Neal, while not a good one, saved the Vols a turnover. Neal didn’t seem to “recall the play” after the game.
Vols Rajion Neal on his "pass" late in the first half: "I don't remember that play. I don't know what you're talking about." He laughed.

It’s easy to laugh about a play like that when it happens during a victory.
After the game Butch Jones said that Neal was suppose to throw to the tight end.
It’s not like they drew it up, but I’m sure the Vols won’t be complaining.
