Tennessee’s incredible weekend got even better on Sunday.

The Vols picked up a commitment from big time JuCo wide receiver Lavon Pearson on Sunday.

Pearson should immediately remind folks of former Vols wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson, both are JuCO guys and of similar size (Pearson is 6’2″/180). The newest Tennessee commit runs a 4.48 in the 40 yard dash.

The California native, who’s rated as four-star WR by 247Sports, is the top JuCo player in the state of California and the number two JuCo WR in the nation.

Pearson also holds offers from Illinois and Utah.

The 2014 WR will provide the Vols with some immediate help at the wide receiver position next season.

Tennessee WR coach Zach Azzanni is most likely salivating at the thought of getting this guy on the field next season.

The Vols’ 2014 recruiting class is shaping up to be something special. A sign of the times to come on Rocky Top.
