The Tennessee Volunteers might want to start airing it out a little more, considering the expertise in that department that they currently have under center these days.

True freshman quarterback Josh Dobbs impressed folks in his first career start with his poise in the pocket.

Dobbs’ performance on the field, as impressive as it is, might actually be the least impressive thing about this young man when you consider his performance in the classroom.

The Georgia native spoke to the media for the first time during his time at Tennessee on Wednesday. Dobbs described his love for aeronautical engineering, his major at Tennessee, and what what his goals are in that field.

"Dobbs: My ultimate goal is to build and design airplanes. Fly them in my free time, but I don’t want to be a pilot, but my goal is to build and design my own airplanes and hopefully one day, own my own airplane company."

Those lofty goals probably make running an offense in the SEC seem like a piece of cake. Dobbs said his love for airplanes began in the 7th grade during a Tuskegee Airmen camp.

Dobbs is clearly a genius off the field. Now Vol fans hope he can prove to be a genius on the field.

He’ll start his second career game on Saturday against Auburn.
