Da’Rick Rogers is running out of opportunities, so he might want to make the most of his latest one.

On Monday evening the Colts announced that Rogers had been promoted to the active roster.

This is the second time Rogers has been promoted to the active roster during his time with the Colts.

He was previously promoted for one game and was inactive for that game. After he was cut, he cleared waivers and was resigned to the Colts’ practice squad.

I’ve said it time and time again, but I’ll say it again — Rogers can absolutely be a starter in the NFL IF he can keep his head on straight.

It’s unclear what went wrong in Buffalo (where Rogers signed after going undrafted), but it was clear he was never among those that Buffalo favored.

The Colts present a grand opportunity for Rogers with the absence of franchise WR Reggie Wayne.

Rogers is a big, freakishly athletic receiver that can block well and catch well. He’d be a great target for Andrew Luck, but it’s really all up to him.

If Rogers doesn’t make the most of this opportunity, it will likely be his last chance in the NFL.
