If you’re a fan of Da’Rick Rogers’ potential (which I am), then you’re probably excited about Wednesday’s news.

According to Indianapolis Colts head coach Chuck Pagano, Rogers is “getting his shot” on Sunday.

The Colts are taking on the Tennessee Titans.

It’s been a long time coming for Rogers.

The former Vol was cut by the Buffalo Bills before the season started and after clearing waivers he was signed to the Colts’ practice squad.

Rogers made a quick appearance on the Colts active roster, before being waived and signed back to the practice squad.

The Colts have a need for a play-making wide receiver that can line up outside because Reggie Wayne is on IR and Darius Heyward-Bey has been mostly ineffective this season.

I wouldn’t expect a lot out of Rogers in his first NFL game, at least in the box score.

The main thing Rogers needs to do is keep his attitude under control and try to limit mental errors.

He has a tremendous opportunity in front of him right now to be part of a young team with a very bright future.

Rogers won’t get many chances, so he better make the most of this one.
