For a coach that just went 5-7 in his debut season, Butch Jones sure is an exceptionally happy man at the moment.

And for good reason.

The Vols received a commitment from five-star WR Josh Malone on Wednesday, which makes an already impressive 2014 recruiting class, that much more impressive.

Jones took to Twitter to react to Malone’s commitment to “team 118”.

In case your’re worried about recruiting violations, don’t be.

Malone signed financial aid papers with Tennessee (and Clemson & Georgia), which allows the rules to be bent a little.

The newest Vol commit will be on campus at Tennessee this spring, which means he’ll be able to go through spring practice and be that much more prepared for the 2014 season.

Malone should play early and often at Tennessee, which is part of the reason he chose to play for Butch Jones and the Vols.
