Tennessee will likely show some improvement in 2014, but with an even younger roster than this past season, it’s doubtful they’ll take any huge leaps in the win column.

A six or seven win season will probably be considered a success in 2014.

2015, however, is where the Vols might turn some heads, at least that’s what ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit thinks.

The Vols may not have had the results in the win column they were hoping for this past season, but folks like Herbstreit can see the improvement in the program and the on-the-field product.

In addition to the improvements on the field, the Vols have an extremely impressive (and large) recruiting class coming in, which has the attention of everyone — including rival coaches.

Butch Jones doesn’t seem to mind the added attention, but admitted he doesn’t have time to worry about other programs.

"Jones:I don’t ever comment on and other programs because I am busy concentrating on the University of Tennessee. But if they have time to worry about Tennessee and the numbers then we must be doing something right."

The Vols are slowly rising to the top, just like Butch Jones planned it.
