The Vols are offering quarterbacks, all of the quarterbacks.

Ok, maybe that’s not the case. They do, however, have quite a few offers out for 2015 and 2016 quarterbacks and rightfully so.

After not signing a quarterback in the 2014 class, the outlook isn’t so bright at the position.

Butch Jones is not only hoping to land a top 2015 or 2016 quarterback. He NEEDS to land a top 2015 or 2016 quarterback.

The Vols have already received a commitment from Jauan Jennings, a four-star ATH/dual-threat quarterback that will certainly get a look under center when he gets to Rocky Top.

On Wednesday, the Vols offered another dual-threat quarterback — Brandon McIlwain from Newtown, PA (Council Rock North).

McIlwain is a four-star recruit that 247Sports rates as the second best player in Pennsylvania and the fifth overall 2016 dual-threat quarterback.

McIlwain currently holds notable offers from Auburn, Miami, North Carolina, Penn State, Ohio State, South Carolina and Virginia, among several others.

The Pennsylvania native looks to have good pocket awareness and an accurate arm to go along with better than average speed. He’d be a great fit in the Vols’ uptempo offense.

Now the only question is “Can Butch Jones go into the northeast and steal a recruit?”

The answer to that question remains to be seen.
