For the second time this week a five-star recruit named the Vols his leader.

No this isn’t 1998.

This is the Butch Jones era and apparently this is how things are going to be at Tennessee now.

Tim Settle, a defensive-tackle from Manassas, VA (Stonewall Jackson), released his top 15 on Thursday evening and the Vols were at the top of his list.

Settle is rated by 247Sports as the 2nd best player in the state of Virginia and the fourth overall defensive tackle in the nation.

Here’s why:

Settle, 6’3″/318 lbs, would be a huge pickup for Butch Jones and the 2015 Tennessee class. This is a guy that could come in and contribute immediately for the Vols.

The Vols have some stiff competition though for Settle. Alabama, Clemson, Florida State and Texas are all in Settle’s top five.

If Jones is able to go head to head with those schools and get Settle, then I don’t think UT fans need worry about the future of Vol football.

And even if he can’t land the Virginia native, it’s still impressive that Jones has Tennessee in the mix.
