Tennessee Football: Quarterback Shea Patterson Offered By Vols

It’s been another busy week for the Tennessee football coaches in the recruiting world.

On Thursday, the Vols offered 2016 four-star quarterback Shea Patterson.

Patterson is a 6’1″/180  lb pro-style quarterback from Shreveport, LA (Calvary Baptist Academy). He’s rated by 247Sports as the fourth best player in Louisiana and the second best 2016 pro-style quarterback in the nation. He is currently committed to Arizona.

Judging simply by Paterson’s highlights, it doesn’t look like he has the strongest arm in the world, but he does look to have decent accuracy. He also has better than average speed, although his footwork leaves a little to be desired (though that can be said of most young quarterbacks).

Overall I think Patterson is a good prospect, but he’s far from the top of Tennessee’s list of desired quarterbacks.

Patterson currently has notable offers from Alabama, Auburn, Clemson, Ole Miss and Virginia Tech, among others.

I’d be surprised to see Patterson stick with Arizona, considering some of the offers he has.

LSU would seem like a likely destination for the Louisiana native, but Patterson has yet to earn an offer from the Tigers.

I have been a Big Orange Fan for more than 40 years…I have had multiple friends suit up for UT on Saturdays and some that were fortunate enough to suit up on Sundays…The Univ of Tennessee would be damn fortunate to land a Prospect like Patterson…BAMA seems to think the kid is pretty talented, and last time I checked Nick Saban doesn’t make many mistakes….Seems a lot of programs think this young man is good enough to garner multiple offers as a Sophomore….Ole Miss, Baylor, Notre Dame,Va Tech,Clemson etc..etc…But I guess that you are the recruiting expert, maybe that explains why we haven’t been getting the talent that we use to get…They are going to BAMA….LOL….Shea Patterson if you are reading this blog or whatever they call it, don’t listen to this guy, we would love for you to dress out for the BIG ORANGE….And let me promise you this, Nothing sounds better than when you throw that first touchdown pass and as your running down the field with that hand in the air you hear ROCKY TOP….Come on Home to Rocky Top Shea….It has allways been Home Sweet Home to Me and It Will Be For You Too…..GO BIG ORANGE
