Tennessee Football: Five-Star DE Prince Sammons Offered By Vols

Five-star 2016 stud defensive end Prince Sammons was offered by the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday.

Prince Sammons Highlights

Sammons is a 6’8″/260 lb strong-side defensive end from Cincinnati, OH (Cincinnati Hills Christian Academy). He’s rated as the 37th best player in the nation in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

The Ohio native currently has notable offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Illinois, Kentucky and Louisville.

Butch Jones and the Tennessee staff obviously have great recruiting connections in Ohio.

Michigan and Ohio State, although they haven’t offered yet, will be the teams to beat for Sammon’s commitment.

But if there is a team that could be a wildcard, it would definitely be Tennessee.

The Vols should have things turned around by National Signing Day in 2016. It wouldn’t surprise me to see Tennessee become a major player for Prince Sammons.
