Butch Jones and the Vols continued their hot streak in recruiting over the last week and a half by securing a commitment from a versatile lineman from Roanoke, Virginia Thursday night.

Chance Hall, an offensive/defensive tackle from Northside High School, chose the Vols over Virginia Thursday evening. Hall is the No. 23 player in Virginia and is rated as a 3-star by 247Sports.

Hall is one of many players the Vols targeted in Virginia for the 2015 class, and Tennessee is expected to be in the running for several other Virginians. Hall adds his name to a 2015 commitment list for Tennessee that now boasts 19 players.

Assuming Hall will play on the offensive line in college, he gives Tennessee their 3rd commitment from an offensive linemen in 2015, joining Jack Jones and Zach Stewart. He held offers from Virginia, North Carolina, Notre Dame, Maryland, Duke, and Vanderbilt among others.

Hall was considered a Virginia lean for most of his recruitment, so his commitment to Tennessee comes as a little bit of a surprise. The 6-4, 288 lbs linemen is a welcome addition to the Vols’ 2015 class, and Butch Jones and staff could add more names to their 2015 list as soon as next weekend once The Opening is underway.
