Tennessee Recruiting: Vols Make Darian Roseboro’s Top 6

Darian Roseboro, a four-star strong-side defensive end from Lincolnton, NC (Lincolnton), released his top six schools on Monday.

The Vols made the North Carolina native’s top six schools (which were in no order).

Roseboro is rated by 247Sports as the sixth best player in the state of North Carolina and the sixth overall strong-side defensive end in the nation.

I would expect one of the schools in ACC country to eventually land Roseboro. Clemson or North Carolina State would be my bet (though Michigan could sneak in there).

  • Of course that’s not to say that Tennessee doesn’t stand a good chance.  The Vols have been recruiting well in North Carolina under Butch Jones and there’s no reason to think they won’t be right in the thick of Roseboro’s decision.

Ultimately this is a player that Tennessee would love to have. The Vols are still trying to rebuild their defensive line depth and the 6’3″/293 lb Roseboro is a guy that could line up as a defensive end or possibly as a defensive tackle. That kind of versatility makes the four-star recruit that much more attractive.

The Vols currently have four defensive lineman committed to their 2015 recruiting class.
