"The Tennessee Vols got back out on the practice field on Thursday, after a day off Wednesday.Head Coach Butch Jones said the team’s ‘style of play is not ready.”Jones said earlier in the day the Vols would work on situational drills, and Red Zone packages.The team also worked on punt and kick returns, and field goals.Freshman Aaron Medley went 5-for-5 on game-ending field goals at practice.Read more at WBIR"

"Defending Nationwide champ Austin Dillon took a trip to Neyland Stadium on Thursday.The 24-year old star got a tour of the facilities from Tennessee coach Butch Jones.The two even exchanged gifts.Jones gave Dillon a signed Vols helmet, and a brick, to fit with the “Brick-by-Brick” motto.Dillon gave Jones and AD Dave Hart signed racing helmets with a Vols theme.Dillon even got to do some quarterback drills in front of Jones and offensive coordinator Mike Bajakian.“They were pretty impressed,” Dillon said. “I think most people give the NASCAR non-athletic group, I like to think of myself as a pretty athletic person. "In the blink of an eye, big Coleman Thomas went from the center of the offense to the center of the spotlight.The reason was simple: Tennessee badly needed him to make the move.The 6-foot-6, 315-pound freshman played center exclusively throughout his career at Fort Chiswell High School in Virginia, but the Volunteers plugged him in right tackle, where he’s been a first-teamer since the first practice of spring.“I’m going to take anything they tell me to do,” Thomas said after Tennessee’s practice Thursday afternoon. “If they tell me to stand on my head, I’m going to try and do it just to try.
