Vols Recruiting: Tennessee Offers Brandon Johnson

Brandon Johnson, a 2016 wide receiver from Plantation, FL (American Heritage), picked up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday afternoon.

Johnson, 6’1″/166 lbs, is rated by Rivals as a three-star wide receiver. They also rate him as the 46th best player in the state of Florida and the 61st best wide receiver in the nation.

The Florida native has offers from Cincinnati, Duke, Florida Atlantic, Louisville, Miami, South Carolina and Wisconsin.

It should be note that Johnson is a high school teammate of one-time Vol target Torrance Gibson.

Gibson took the Vols on a roller coaster this summer, repeatedly naming them his leader and then naming other schools his leader. It appears that Tennessee is no longer recruiting Gibson.

I doubt that has any bearing at all on Johnson’s recruitment, but it’s worth noting anyway.
