A huge day for the Vols got even bigger on Friday evening as four-star 2015 defensive end Darrell Taylor committed to Tennessee.

The Vols received a commitment from five-star defensive tackle Shy Tuttle earlier on Friday afternoon.

Taylor is a 6’4″/220 lb defensive end from Hopewell, VA (Hopewell). 247Sports rates him as the 10th best player in the state of Virginia and the 12th best weakside defensive end in the nation.

Taylor was long considered a Virginia Tech lean, but the Vols made a lot of momentum late in his recruitment. This is yet another huge get for the Vols, who are recruiting Virginia and North Carolina extremely well right now.

The Vols’ 2015 defensive line class is shaping up to be one that could be historically great.

Tennessee also has 2015 commitments from defensive linemen Shy Tuttle, Kahlil McKenzie, Andrew Butcher and Marques Ford.
