Former Vol Commit Chooses Rutgers

Four-star defensive end Marques Ford committed to Rutgers on Thursday evening, a day after decommitting from Tennessee.

Various reports have suggested that Ford was told there was room for him in the Vols’ 2015 recruiting class.
The Florida native, rated as the 273rd best player in the nation in 247Sports’ composite rankings, also had offers from Arkansas, Ole Miss and Boston College, among several others.
The Vols have plenty of depth along their defensive line, however, Marques Ford appeared to be a legitimate four-star recruit that could make an impact at an SEC program.
Rutgers is getting a heck of a player.
