Diondre Overton Offered By Vols

2016 wide receiver Diondre Overton picked up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Tuesday, according to various reports.

Overton is a 6’5″/195 lb wide receiver from Greensboro, NC (Page). He hasn’t been rated yet by 247Sports.

Butch Jones and the Vols have had a lot of recent recruiting success in North Carolina, specifically central North Carolina.

Current Vol, and expected starter in 2015, Emmanuel Moseley is from Greensboro (attended Overton’s rival high school Dudley) and early enrollee Shy Tuttle is from Winston-Salem, just down the road from Greensboro.

Jones, however, will be going up against some top schools to get the North Carolina native.

Overton also has offers from Clemson, Duke, Louisville, NC State, South Carolina, Wake Forest and West Virginia, among others.
