Drew Richmond Is Still Committed To Ole Miss

There’s a growing sense of optimism that Tennessee has a legitimate chance to flip four-star offensive tackle Drew Richmond from Ole Miss on National Signing Day.

Richmond, according to various reports, had a fantastic official visit to Knoxville over the weekend. He attended the Vols’ basketball game against Auburn on Saturday and was seated beside Butch Jones (who is putting the full court press on Richmond). By all accounts, Richmond very much enjoyed himself.

But not enough to officially decommit from Ole Miss.

According to Mike Farrell of the Rivals network, Richmond is still committed to Ole Miss.

Richmond has been committed to the Rebels since September 9, but he’s openly visited Tennessee and been involved with UT since then.

The Memphis native will reportedly not make a big announcement on signing day. He will simply fax his national letter of intent to the school he’s attending and that will be it.

The Vols have a lot of momentum in this battle, but Richmond committed to Ole Miss for a reason. He likes Oxford and the coaches there just as much. So the Vols definitely have to hope they made a huge impression on Richmond.

A lot can happen in the next couple of days, but it wouldn’t shock me to see Richmond donning orange this fall.
