Vols Recruiting: Colby Parkinson Offered By Tennessee

2017 tight end Colby Parkinson picked up an offer from the Tennessee Volunteers on Wednesday evening.
Parkinson is a 6’6″/225 lb tight end from Thousand Oaks, CA (Westlake). He hasn’t been rated yet by 247Sports.
Parkinson only has one other reported offer — Washington.
Butch Jones and his staff haven’t had a ton of recruiting success out west, but that really has more to do with geography than anything else.
Tight end is still a position of need for Tennessee. Parkinson would be a solid addition for depth purposes. He certainly has the potential to be a significant contributor as well.
