The 2016 Tennessee football recruiting class addressed specific needs for the future. Here are 10 new recruits most likely to play early for the Volunteers.

With 18 starters coming back to a team that finished 9-4 and in the Top 25 last year, it would be hard to find new recruits from the No. 15 ranked class in the country that could see the field immediately.

But Butch Jones and his staff, continuing to show that they are all in for 2016, still managed to pull in a few players that puts an entire focus on this year.

With 21 commitments, this was a smaller class than usual, and with such a loaded roster, Jones and the Tennessee football program are finally at the point where they can recruit for depth and not just immediate needs.

But both safeties are gone from this past year, and four of the 21 commitments are junior college players. That makes room even in this class for newcomers to see the field very quickly.

A loaded class of returners last year did not stop guys like Alvin Kamara from seeing the field and having a huge impact. But along with him, a junior college transfer, there were also guys like Kahlil McKenzie, Shy Tuttle, Kyle Phillips before he got hurt, Darrin Kirkland Jr., Jauan Jennings, and Chance Hall ho saw the field and made an impact.

The same could definitely happen this year with the new recruits that the Vols picked up.

Here are the Top 10 newcomers who have the best chance to play immediately for the 2016 Tennessee football season.
