Butch Jones appeared to drop the F-word on Tennessee Volunteers fans as they booed him at halftime of a game at Neyland Stadium.

It’s not the biggest deal in the grand scheme of things, but Butch Jones appeared to finally wilt to Tennessee fans’ pressure on Saturday against the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.

With the Vols holding onto a 35-0 lead at halftime, fans booed Jones when he decided to kick a field goal on fourth and goal from the one-yard line with four seconds to go in the half.

Jones was caught on video then appearing to give a response that sent Twitter going crazy.

As you can see, it looks like he said “F**k all of them!”

Again, it’s not a huge deal. We know that Butch Jones has a tendency to be over-emotional in the heat of the moment.

After all, he did break down on his knees when Tennessee beat Georgia off of a Hail Mary. He also got angry last year at Oklahoma’s Erik Striker after the Vols lost to them.

So emotion in the heat of the moment is not Jones’s biggest strength. But it’s not the biggest deal.

Jones does have composure in press conferences and is not afraid to take blame for losses. He never throws people under the bus either.

As a result, we are going to give him a pass for this one. It was the right call at the time anyway. Why try to run up the score on a team you’re beating 35-0?
