Tennessee football head coach Butch Jones is adding two analysts this year, including one with ties to the UT Volunteers program.

Even as he continues to reshape his staff, Tennessee football head coach Butch Jones is not done changing up his football leaders.

The Vols head coach is expanding his personnel in 2017 to add two analysts, according to a report on Volquest.

One of the analysts is Gerald Brown, whom Jones hired as an offensive analysts, according to the report.

Brown, the brother of familiar Tennessee football name Kippy Brown, was a graduate assistant for the program all the way back in 1983.

He served with Jon Gruden in that capacity.

From 1983 to 1988, Brown worked with the university. He then moved on.

Coming back, Brown brings college and NFL experience to the program. From 2008 to 2014, he was the running backs coach for the Atlanta Falcons, where he coached two Pro Bowlers in Michael Turner and Ovie Mughelli.

He also coached for six seasons at Indiana University. The Hoosiers averaged over 1,600 yards per year on the ground during his time.

And his diversity even spreads to the XFL, where he served as a running backs coach for the Memphis Maniax in the one year that it existed.
