Tennessee football offered a scholarship to three-star wide receiver Kam Scott out of Manvel, Texas. The Volunteers offered Scott on Tuesday afternoon.

Not even 24 hours after Tennessee football offered a scholarship to four-star Texas defensive end Jarell Cherry for 2018, Butch Jones and Co. continued working the Texas landscape on Tuesday.

The Vols offered a scholarship to three-star wide receiver Kam Scott for 2018, according to a report on GoVols247.

Tennessee was the first SEC team to offer Scott a scholarship, who is also fielding offers from the Baylor Bears, the Bowling Green Falcons, the North Texas Mean Green, the SMU Mustangs, and the Tulsa Golden Hurricane.

On Rivals, Scott is the No. 70 ranked player in the state of Texas. But he did not achieve any national rankings.

Still, at 6’2″ 180 pounds, the Manvel High School prospect definitely has a solid frame and should be able to do serious damage.

Here are some of his highlights.

As you can see, he simply towers over everybody else that is his competition, which is obviously a huge advantage that won’t fully translate to college.

However, he also demonstrated solid speed and good lateral quickness, so he could be more shifty than we think.

And that is even further proven by the fact that he lined up in the slot a lot.

New quarterbacks coach Mike Canales is the guy who is going after him.

Right now, according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball, there are no clear leaders, but Tennessee football looks to clearly be in play.
