Jason Carr is a player the Vols had to close the deal on today.  He’s been committed over a year and should be a big contributor for the foreseeable future.  He’s a SDE but is likely to develop into a DT as he adds weight. He needs to improve on his pass rushing skills but has a nice quick burst.  Carr held offers from Alabama, Clemson and Florida.  He had also been previously recruited by Cincinnati while current Tennessee Butch Jones was head coach there.
