Ryan Jenkins is another prototypical Butch Jones wide receiver. He compares favorably to former Central Michigan wide receiver Antonio Brown.  Brown excelled in the offense under Jones while at CMU.  Jones has been credited with helping along the development of Brown considerably and Brown is now a starting wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers.  Ryan Jenkins is quick, tough and runs great routes.  He does well in the short game and can make plays after the catch.  There’s some concerns about his small stature, but new strength coach Dave Lawson will work with Jenkins in that area and bring him along.  Jenkins is a solid wide receiver that should fit into Tennessee’s new offense perfectly.

Jenkins held offers from Clemson, Mississippi State, and Oklahoma State among others.  Jenkins had previously been committed to Clemson.
