Lady Vols Game Recap: Tennessee 64 LSU 62

Freshmen Bashaara Graves hit a jumper at the buzzer in a thrilling finish to lift the 12th ranked Lady Vols over LSU Thursday night. After Tennessee tied the game at 62, Graves stole the ball from Bianca Lutley. Graves missed her first shot, but the Vols got the rebound and Graves hit the game winning jumper.
Tennessee was coming off an upset loss at the hands of Missouri last Sunday. Tennessee improves to 9-1 in the SEC and 18-5 overall. LSU falls to 4-6 in the conference and 13-10 overall.
Meighan Simmons led the Lady Vols in scoring with 18 points. Theresa Plaisance led LSU with 20 points.
The Lady Vols will play Ole Miss at home on Sunday at 2:00 PM. This is the first and only meeting between the two teams this season. Ole Miss is 1-8 in conference play and 8-14 overall. They’re currently on a 3 game losing skid, most recently losing at Vanderbilt 79-53.
