Lady Vols Win Again, Beat Texas A&M 82-72

The Lady Vols beat the eighth ranked Texas A&M Aggies 82-72 on Thursday night, to win their sixth consecutive game.

The Lady Vols closed out February with a 6-1 record during the month. Their lone loss came against Missouri back on February 3rd.

Tennessee built up a 12 point lead in the second half, but Texas A&M would cut the Lady Vol’s  lead to four with just under four minutes remaining in the game.  The Lady Vols were able to put the Aggies away by holding Texas A&M scoreless the final 3:50.

Kamiko Williams led the Lady Vols in scoring with 18 points to go along with her 7 rebounds. Meighan Simmons, who had led the Vols in scoring the previous five games, scored 17 points and notched 5 rebounds.

The Lady Vols improved to 23-5 on the season, and 14-1 in conference play.

Tennessee will head to Lexington, KY to face the Kentucky Wildcats in the regular season finale. The Lady Wildcats are currently ranked 10th, with a record of 23-4 overall and 11-3 in the SEC.

Tennessee and Kentucky tip off at 3:30 pm est on Sunday at Memorial Coliseum. The game will be shown on ESPNU.
