Going into the 2012 season a lot of analysts had Hunter as potentially the top receiver in the draft. After being over-shadowed by the play of Cordarrelle Patterson, and suffering through some issues with dropped passes, Hunter has fell down the draft board.

Brugler said during his time with Hunter that he seemed comfortable with the process. Hunter said that his decision to leave Tennessee was easy because of his young son. Brugler said that Hunter was very humble and understood the expectations being put on him. He also understood that he struggled with consistency, Brugler provided this quote from Hunter concerning his consistency.

"I know I had a problem with that, and that’s one of the tough things. I know that’s real important. You’ve got to be able to make that catch every time. – Justin Hunter"

Overall Hunter had a good combine, he ran a 4.44 in the 40 yard dash, a solid time for someone that is 6’4″.  Hunter will have to prove to teams that he can make the big catches and be a more consistent receiver.  It’s unlikely that his combine performance will lift him back into the first round, but he’s almost sure to not be around come round three.
