Arian Foster definitely isn’t the most popular former Volunteer, but there’s no denying what he’s accomplished in the NFL.
Foster wasn’t drafted coming out of Tennessee and was signed by the Texans and assigned to the practice squad. Foster got added to the 53 man roster toward the end of the 2009 season, but it wasn’t until 2010 that Foster would break out, in a big way nonetheless.
In the first game of the 2010 season Foster set a Houston franchise record with 231 rushing yards. Foster would go on to the lead the league in rushing with 1,616 yards and was selected to the pro-bowl.
In his three years as a starter Foster has set franchise records for career rushing yards and rushing touchdowns. He’s made the pro-bowl in each of the last three seasons.
The San Diego native is consistently among the leading rushers in the NFL.
Not bad for a guy who wasn’t even drafted.
