2014 Tennessee Volunteers Recruiting: Stanton Truitt Receives 102 Letters From Tennessee

Butch Jones and the Tennessee Volunteers let 2014 ATH Stanton Truitt know how badly he is wanted on Rocky Top, by sending 102 letters to the native of Monroe, GA. This is nothing new by college coaches, as ESPN noted, Nick Saban sent 105 letters to running back Alvin Kamara during his recruitment last year. The method worked for Saban, as Kamara would end up signing his national letter of intent with Alabama.

Truitt told ESPN.Com that he already thinks highly of the Vols:

"Tennessee is pretty high up for me, and my visit two weeks ago, to see their first practice, was definitely one of the best."

Truitt, 5’10″/185,  said the letters were mostly inspirational, each one saying something different. Truitt says the letters let him know how highly Tennessee thinks of him, and makes him want to work harder

It’s not know what position Truitt will play in college.

The Monroe Area standout is rated as a 3-star ATH by 247Sports. Truitt was offered by Tennessee on February 21st and took an unofficial visit to Knoxville on March 9th.

In addition to his offer from Tennessee, Truitt holds notable offers from Arkansas, Florida, Missouri, North Carolina and South Carolina among others, for a total of 18.
