On Tuesday  Rawane Ndiaye became Cuonzo Martin’s fifth commit to the 2013 Vol’s class.

Ndiaye is a 6’10″/250 lb center from from Indian Hills Community College in Iowa. Ndiaye is rated as a two-star prospect by 247Sports.

There’s only one problem with Ndiaye’s commitment to the Volunteers — The Vol’s are now two over the scholarship limit of 13.

Last weekend guard Jordan McRae announced his intentions to return to Tennessee next season.

The Vols are now awaiting the decision of sophomore forward Jarnell Stokes, who has until April 28th to declare for the NBA draft.

If Stokes were to return for his junior year it’s unclear what action Cuonzo Martin would be forced to take. It’s a certainty that Martin has a plan in place, but we’ll have to wait to see what that plan entails.

Even if Stokes were to make the jump to the NBA, the Volunteers would still be over the scholarship limit.

Ndiaye, a native of Senegal, is expected to sign his letter of intent later this week.
