Zach Rogers was a player that was on the bubble when it came to be drafted. We projected him to be drafted late in the 7th round, but in a draft that was extremely deep at wide receiver Rogers went undrafted.

Rogers had a great pro-day and extremely good workouts — Rogers ran a 4.49 in the 40 at Tennessee’s pro day. Mike Mayock, from the NFL Network, considered Rogers one of his favorite sleepers at wide receiver.

The former Vol was overshadowed during his time at Tennessee, playing alongside names like Justin Hunter, Da’Rick Rogers and Cordarrelle Patterson, as well as tight end Mychal Rivera. Rogers ended up having a productive senior season, scoring seven touchdowns on 491 yards receiving.

We would’ve loved to have seen Rogers sign with a team like the Patriots (because of his comparisons to former Patriot Wes Welker), but the Jets are a good a landing spot for Rogers as a team has a great need at receiver. With the work ethic and steady hands that Rogers possesses he should be in good shape to make the final 53-man roster this upcoming season.
