"Tennessee’sJordan McRae was named most valuable player Monday night as the men’s basketball team held its season-ending banquet for 2012-13.McRae increased his scoring from 8.6 points per game as a sophomore to 15.7 as a junior. He’ll be considered one of the SEC’s top returning players next season."

From the Tennessee Journalist

"It was just one of those days for the Lady Vols softball team.Fortunately for Tennessee, those days don’t come very often in 2013.No. 2 Tennessee (42-7,15-4) fell to No. 25 Arkansas (31-17,9-10) 2-1 at home in the first game of a three game series, snapping their 19 game win streak."

From Rant Sports

"Butch Jones and Tennessee could be days away from adding a massive recruit to the Volunteers’ impressive recruiting class in the form of Orlando Brown, Jr. (Suwanee, Ga. Peachtree Ridge), who will announce his college decision on Thursday. The 6’7-1/2 three-star offensive tackle is the son of a former NFL offensive tackle and weighs in north of 350-pounds. He also lists Arkansas and Oklahoma among his group of finalists. Brown would literally be the biggest commitment in Jones’ brief tenure in Knoxville. While the Razorbacks and Sooners have great programs with plenty to offer a recruit like Brown, I think Tennessee will be his decision on May 2."
