The number one player in the state of New York (according to 247Sports) has been offered by the Tennessee Volunteers.

Thomas Holley is a 6’4″, 285 lb defensive tackle from Brooklyn, NY (Abraham Lincoln). Holley is rated as a four-star recruit by 247Sports. He’s also rated as the 10th best defensive tackle recruit in the country.

The New York native made the switch from basketball to football during his junior year, according to ESPN. Holley played in only eight games during his junior year, but showed incredible athleticism that immediately drew the attention of coaches around the country.

Considering the lack of experience that Holley has so far, there’s a good chance he could end up being a five-star recruit by National Signing Day next year.

The rising senior has already picked up some impressive offers. In addition to his offer from Tennessee he’s received offers from Alabama, Baylor, Boston College, Clemson, Connecticut, Florida, Florida State, Kentucky, Maryland, Massachusetts, Miami, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Ohio State, Ole Miss, Penn State, Pittsburgh, Rutgers, Syracuse and Temple.

Holley has not yet visited Tennessee.
