CBS Sports released their first preseason poll today for the upcoming college basketball season.

The Vols are one of three SEC teams ranked in the poll, coming in at 18th.

Kentucky is ranked number one, while Florida is ranked fifth.

Both Kentucky and Tennessee lost in the first round of the NIT last season. The Wildcats lost to Robert Morris and the Vols lost to Mercer.

The Vols are expected to be in the AP and USA Today top 25 next season, despite the loss of Trae Golden.

Tennessee is returning Jarnell Stokes and Jordan McRae, who both passed up an opportunity to potentially play in the NBA.

The Vols will also be getting forward Jeronne Maymon back from injury.
