One of the Vols top 2014 recruiting targets, Jalen Tabor, was named one of the top defensive back performers from the Rivals Camp Series.
Here’s what Rivals had to say about Tabor at the Rivals Camp Series
"It’s hard to say enough good things about Tabor. At the Richmond RCS event, Tabor may have only let up one completion. He was aggressive in press coverage and didn’t let receivers get any separation. In off coverage, Tabor showed great patience and was very explosive when driving on the pass, anticipating very well and intercepting more than a few passes."
Tabor is rated as a four-star defensive back by Rivals. He stands 6’1″ and weighs 186 lbs.
Rivals ranks Tabor as the fifth best defensive back in the nation. Tabor is high school teammates with D’Andre Payne, a Tennessee commit already. It’s unlikely that Payne’s commitment will sway Tabor, but it definitely can’t hurt.
Tabor has received offers from almost every major school, including Alabama, Auburn, Florida, Notre Dame, Ohio State and Oklahoma in addition to his offer from Tennessee.
