Last week two former Vols were featured at the NFLPA’s rookie premiere event — Justin Hunter and Cordarrelle Patterson.
The two rookies participated in a variety of events, the biggest being the unveiling of the new uniforms.
Cordarrelle Patterson was selected by the Minnesota Vikings in the first round of the 2013 NFL draft, while the Tennessee Titans selected Justin Hunter in the second round of the draft.
Both receivers were highly touted coming out of Tennessee and will each look to continue the long tradition of “Wide Receiver U”, as Tennessee is affectionately referred to by fans and some analysts.
Hunter and Patterson are two of the four former Tennessee receivers that will be rookies this year. Da’Rick Rogers (who finished his collegiate career at Tennessee Tech) and Zach Rogers (no relation) are the other two former Vols.
Both of the Rogers went undrafted. Da’Rick was signed by the Buffalo Bills and Zach by the New York Jets. Both have been impressing their coaches early in minicamps.
