"A walk-off triple by Rainey Gaffin to deep right center field in the bottom of the 11th inning brought Cheyanne Tarango around to score from first base and gave the Tennessee softball team a 1-0 victory over NC State to stay perfect in NCAA Tournament play Saturday. The 11-inning game matched the longest game in Tennessee history and marked the seventh time the Lady Vols have played into the 11th inning. It was just the second time UT has reached the 11-inning mark in the NCAA Tournament, the only other time coming against No. 1 Michigan on June 5, 2005 in the Women’s College World Series."

"You didn’t need a radar gun to figure out that Ivy Renfroe was throwing hard Sunday afternoon at Lee Stadium. The slight discoloration and puffiness of Hannah Akamine’s left hand were just as telling. But Tennessee’s sophomore catcher got off easy compared to North Carolina State, which spent the afternoon proving that catching Renfroe was much easier than hitting her."

"Tennessee rising sophomore Bashaara Graves will be on another quest for gold. Graves was selected Sunday to the 12-member USA U19 FIBA World Championship team.Last August, before Graves put on orange and became SEC Freshman of the Year, she helped Team USA win the FIBA Americas U18 Championship with 10 points and 11 rebounds in the championship game against Brazil. Graves has also won a U16 Americas Championship and FIBA U17 World Championship."

From Yahoo Sports

"Last week, the Denver Broncos and quarterback Peyton Manning agreed to a renegotiated contract with the primary intent on adding insurance language for the 2014 season. The new contract, which was originally reported by Mike Klis of The Denver Post, was initially believed to have no cash or salary cap implications, but that was not the case, a source with knowledge of the contract details confirmed to “Shutdown Corner”."
