Arian Foster has officially put the city of Houston in a bit of a panic.
The Texans running back was carted off the practice field during OTA’s today.
Texans head coach Gary Kubiak said the injury is only a calf strain.
While that’s reassuring for Texans fans, they should still be concerned. Foster missed several games in 2011 after sustaining a hamstring injury during training camp.
If there’s a silver lining, it lies in the fact that this injury happened in May and not August.
Houston will definitely exercise caution with the former Vol running back, there’s no reason to rush him back too early.
Ironically Foster’s injury comes on the same day we published an article where Foster proclaimed what great shape he is in this off-season.
Hopefully for the Texans this will be something Foster recovers from quickly, and doesn’t turn into something that continues to hamper him into the season.
