Da’Rick Rogers Gets Reprimanded By Bills Coach Doug Marrone

Showboating in the month of May isn’t something that’s going to go over well with coaches.

Da’Rick Rogers learned that the hard way today.

According to Mark Gaughan of the Buffalo News, Rogers got reprimanded when, after making a great play, he stood over the defensive back for an extended amount of time.

Marrone quickly intervened and let Rogers know, that’s not how professionals act.

"That’s not what being a pro is, and that’s not playing like a Buffalo Bill."

The first year Bills head coach has already made it quite clear that Rogers has only “one shot” with the team. Rogers’ actions today are definitely not a good way to ensure you don’t blow your one shot.

Marrone seemed happy with Rogers’ understanding of the situation.

"I told him, ‘Is this going to be something we’re going to have to be concerned about with handling any type of success from you?’ That’s what I told him. I looked at him in his eye, and he understood that. And it’s good to end on a good note cuz now you’re excited to see what he can do when we come back to the mandatory minicamps."

Rogers has had some big plays so far in OTA’s, but has proved to be inconsistent at times as well. He’s a big time talent with the ability to stretch the field and win physical battles with defensive backs. He’ll have to keep his attitude in check though, if he plans on being around this fall.
