Da’Rick Rogers Is A VFL (If There Was Any Doubt)

Early last month I mused over whether or not Vols that transferred should be considered VFL’s.
Ultimately my conclusion is this:
It’s 100% up to them, because there’s no doubt in my mind that Butch Jones will, and has, welcomed back Vols from all circumstances.
Based on that, I hope Tennessee fans fully embrace Da’Rick Rogers as a VFL, because he certainly embraces Tennessee.
I get that tagging yourself as a VFL can be considered trivial, but it’s what sets Tennessee apart. It’s part of the reason Butch Jones desired to be the coach at Tennessee.
Vol fans have went through several years of football that wasn’t “Tennessee football”, there wasn’t that family atmosphere that draws people to Rocky Top.
After just six months on the job, Butch Jones has completely turned around the atmosphere in Knoxville.
Former Vols like Erik Ainge and Jason Swain have went from having no clue what was going on, to basically being a part of the team.
Da’Rick Rogers has embraced Tennessee, it’s part of his identity, no matter happened in the past, you can thank Butch Jones for that.
So Vol nation, show him the love back, he’s a VFL.
