The Tennessee Volunteers received another commitment to their 2015 class on Saturday, when defensive end Andrew Butcher committed during his trip to Knoxville.
Butcher, 6’3″/235 lbs, has not yet been rated by 247Sports, but he had received scholarship offers from Arkansas, UCONN, Utah and West Virginia, in addition to his offer from Tennessee. He’s been primarily recruited by Vols running back coach Robert Gillespie and defensive line.coach Steve Stripling.
The Alpharetta, GA native is very athletic (he runs the 40 in 4.80 seconds) and is likely to play on the strong side.
Butcher’s visit this weekend is the fourth time he’s been on the Vol’s campus.
His commitment should come as no big surprise to Vol fans. Brent Hubbs, of Volquest, had predicted that Butcher would be the Vols next commit on several radio shows this week.
