Former Tennessee Volunteers receiver Donte Stallworth may find a home in the NFL this season afterall.
Stallworth, who’s played with four different teams during the past four seasons, apparently did enough today during a workout with the Redskins to impress head coach Mike Shanahan.
Shanahan added that he thought Stallworth made a mistake going to New England and that he didn’t want to lose Stallworth a year ago.
Stallworth was released by the Patriots before the the 2012 season got underway.
New England resigned Stallworth on December 3 and he played in only one game, before being placed on the injured reserve list.
The former Vol made quite an impression during his one game, he caught a 63 yard touchdown pass.
Earlier this off-season Stallworth was involved in a hot-air balloon accident, in which he suffered serious burns.
