It wouldn’t be the off-season if we didn’t talk about Tennessee’s uniforms.
There are two distinct camps when it comes to thoughts on the Vols uniforms.
There are the traditionalists, who believe the Vols uniforms are perfect in their current state. Then there are those who want to see Tennessee’s uniforms updated — badly.
Senior defensive lineman Maurice Couch is clearly in the latter group.
I Love n respect the ut tradition but I would love to have new unis, just add a lil swag!!! #vfl

He’s far from alone.
At any given time, on the multitudes of Vols message boards, a debate is raging in regards to Adidas vs. Nike, and how the Vols uniforms look outdated.
Some folks even argue that the Vol’s current uniforms have a negative effect on recruiting.
Hopefully uniforms will never be a factor in a recruits final decision, although I can’t say it would totally shock me, but I digress
Unfortunately for Tennessee fans that want a major change, it’s probably not going to happen anytime soon.
Adidas holds the contract for Tennessee uniforms through at least 2015. So it’s doubtful that Vol fans will be seeing any of these prototypes that have been floated around Twitter, anytime soon.
Tell butch u a Vol if we can wear these unis.haha #VFL “@ToddKellyJr6: If only we could get these jerseys #BossTeam pic.twitter.com/2sOtDCMvaq”
